The new website for Haydon is now live at haydonmarketing.com.
Haydon Marketing is a Droitwich-based manufacturer of power supplies and connectivity accessories for the fire and security industry. Its customers are distributors, installers, integrators and manufacturers working on commercial, industrial and residential systems.
That is a trade audience that usually knows exactly what it wants, often down to the part number. So the brief was simple: get people to the right product as quickly as possible, and make it easy to get in touch. Here is how the site does it.
Installers think in systems, so that is how the products are arranged: Fire, Access, Intruder, CCTV, Audio Visual, Connectivity & Networking and Power Accessories. One menu opens each of these out into its ranges, such as EN54 approved fire alarm power supplies, monitored access control supplies or door retainer power supplies, so nobody has to click through page after page to find the right section.
A product search sits at the top of every page. Each product carries its Haydon code, such as HAY-PSUEN54-2A, so a buyer who already knows what they need can type it in and go straight to it.
The home page leads with Haydon’s EN54 fire alarm and access control power supplies, followed by a run of featured products with short, practical descriptions: voltage, output and enclosure size. For anyone who prefers to browse offline or share the range with colleagues, the full product portfolio is a download from the main menu.
Phone and email links sit in the header, and the contact details, LinkedIn page and Droitwich address are repeated lower down the page. Trade customers often want to check stock or talk through a custom build, so the route to a real person is never more than a click away.
A product range like this keeps growing, so the site is built for Haydon’s own team to make changes and updates themselves, without waiting on a developer.
“Highly recommend, did a phenomenal job with our website as well as making it very user friendly for us to make our own changes and updates to it. Warren is always very helpful and quick to respond with any queries or requests we have.”

Business buyers are busy. They want specifications, part codes and a phone number, not a long sales pitch. A site that is organised the way they work, with good search and clear product information, saves them time and makes the manufacturer look as dependable as its products.
If you sell to the trade and your website makes buyers hunt for what they need, the same approach applies. We have built sites for manufacturers, contractors and service businesses across Worcestershire and the Midlands, including plenty around Worcester and Bromsgrove.
