Who we are
Designing and building websites in Worcestershire since 1999.
Shine Internet is a web design studio in Stourport-on-Severn, working with businesses across Worcester, Kidderminster, the wider county and the rest of the UK. We have been doing this since 1999 — through four or five complete changes in how the web works, and we are still here.
In that time we have designed and built more than 1,500 websites for over 500 clients. Sole traders and start-ups, established local firms like The Lee, Shaw Partnership, Silverbird Motorhomes and Morgan Aps, and national names including SSE, Next and VINCI. A good number of our clients have been with us for well over a decade, which is the part we are most pleased about.
We design, build and host the sites ourselves rather than passing the work down a chain of subcontractors. It means the person you speak to about your website is the person responsible for it — a deliberate decision about how the studio runs, and the reason projects do not stall waiting on someone else.

Our work for St. Modwen Properties helped place their website 3rd in the SiteMorse testing of every FTSE-listed company site in the country, for code quality, functionality and user accessibility — including A and AA ratings against the Disability Discrimination Act guidelines. The same care goes into a five-page site for a local tradesman.

How we work

You deal with the designers
No account managers relaying messages, no support queue, no offshore team you never speak to. You talk directly to the senior people building your website, from the first conversation through to launch.

Every project is quoted individually, because every project is different. You get a written proposal with a clear scope and a fixed figure before any work starts.
No hourly creep, no surprise extras at the end, and no vague estimate that quietly doubles.
We are still here afterwards
Plenty of agencies disappear the week after launch. We host, maintain and update the sites we build, and we pick up the phone years later when something needs changing.
It is why clients who came to us in the 2000s are still with us now.

How long has Shine Internet been going?
Since 1999. We have designed and built over 1,500 websites in that time, for businesses ranging from one-person start-ups to FTSE-listed companies. Very few web design studios in Worcestershire have been running anywhere near as long.
Where are you based?
Our studio is at 4 Dunley Road, Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire DY13 0AX — a short drive from Worcester, Kidderminster and Bromsgrove. We are always happy to meet in person if you are local, and just as happy to run the whole project by phone and email if you are not.
Do you only work with businesses in Worcestershire?
Not at all. A lot of our work is local, but we have clients right across the UK — Birmingham, London and a good deal further afield. Most of the process runs perfectly well remotely, and it has done for years.
Who will I actually be dealing with?
The people designing and building your website. There is no account manager in between and no support ticket system to go through. You get direct access to the senior team throughout, which is how we keep projects moving.
How much does a website cost?
Every website is quoted individually, because no two projects need the same thing. Tell us what you are after and you will have a fixed figure in writing before any work starts — no hourly creep and no unexpected extras at the end.
What happens once the website is live?
We host it, look after it and make changes as you need them. You can also have a site you update yourself if you would prefer. Either way we are still on the end of the phone months and years later, which is not something every agency can say.
